MAGYAR KUVASZ


The Hungarian kuvasz is another old dog brought to the basin of the Carpathians with the early Hungarians. It is to be used very well at watching­protecting work. It has a good scent. It has hunted wolf and wild boar too. It is firmly bold and audacious. It is readily used for house­watching. Its hide is slate­grey or black. The nose, the eye and the lips are black.
Its size is 71-­75 cm, wheight of the body is 45-52 kg. The kuvasz is able to trot uniformly 25-­30 km, without getting tired.
